Dr. Revelis chose this specialty because he enjoys procedure-related medicine. “I like active interventions that makes an immediate difference for patients. I found that through interventional pain medicine, I could help people in their day-to-day quality of life,” he said.

When building a relationship with his patients, Dr. Revelis says the best way is to have good communication skills. “I have a plain-spoken style that really connects with patients. I also find that humor always helps put patients at ease,” he said.

Dr. Revelis has always loved science, making it an easy decision for him to pursue medicine. “I was blessed to have one great physician mentor who inspired me and guided me through my training. But my biggest inspiration came from the example that my parents set, to always do your best, help others and work hard,” he said.

When Dr. Revelis isn’t working, he likes to golf, exercise, boat, hike, cook and garden.
