About Ashley Michelle Dixon, APRN-CNP

Ashley Michelle Dixon, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine. She chose the specialty because it allows her to treat a variety of patients at different stages in their lifetime.

Michelle’s inspiration to become a nurse began in her youth. “I grew up watching the nurses in my family do amazing work for their communities and I always wanted to emulate them,” she said.

Now, providing care as a nurse practitioner, she believes in people-first medicine. “It is my passion to align treatment plans with my patient’s personal goals,” she said.

When it comes to common questions, Michelle said, “I often get asked how I deal with the more difficult areas of health care, and I really attribute the way I was raised to who I am today. Growing up on a ranch, my parents taught my brother and I hard work and resiliency.”

Michelle’s hobbies outside of work still include ranch work. She really enjoys spending time with her family, working cattle and riding horses and mules. She said if patients come in for an appointment they may not expect her witty sense of humor and passionate personality.
