About Aimee Kehres, APRN-CNS

Aimee Kehres, APRN-CNS, specializes in medical oncology (cancer care) at OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center at Hillcrest and has been in health care since 2008. Aimee also provides emotional support. “Learning you have cancer is extremely overwhelming and scary,” she said. “I will take the time to educate you and your support systems so you have the information you need to make decisions about your care.”

Aimee chose to focus her career on oncology because of personal experiences. “Several of my family members have had cancer or have a genetic susceptibility to cancer,” she said. “Watching my mom go through chemotherapy for breast cancer when I was a teenager really left an impact on me. I was in constant awe of the care she received from her nurses and doctors.”

Aimee encourages her patients to stay proactive. “Know your risk factors and make informed choices about your health,” she said. “It is so important to get recommended cancer screenings. Many cancers are completely treatable if caught early.”

When she is away from the office, Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, hiking, camping and playing board games.
