About Paige Steiner, D.O.
Paige Steiner, D.O., is a family medicine physician at Utica Park Clinic (UPC). Her professional areas of interest include women’s health, obesity medicine and wound care.
From an early age, Dr. Steiner has been learning about the ins and outs of the health care industry. It all began with her grandmother, who was an intensive care unit (ICU) nurse, and her father, who works in hospital administration. She said, “I have heard them talk about medicine since I can remember. This could be administrative topics like bed numbers or trauma level certifications, or new technology that was starting to become available to patients.”
A certain moment in time became a prominent memory in her decision to become a doctor. She said, “I got to witness a physician spring into action during a church service when I was in high school, when another parishioner had lost consciousness. Thankfully, everyone was okay, but watching his selflessness was incredible and inspiring.”
Dr. Steiner decided to become a family medicine provider because it allows her to care for a variety of people and conditions. “It also gives me the opportunity to connect with my patients and build relationships with them and their families that will allow me to better treat them as a patient but also increase my understanding of who they are as a human being. It is a really unique and special thing that family medicine doctors get to do,” she said.
When it comes to building relationships with her patients, she makes it a priority to start with listening. She said, “Patients will tell you exactly what they need/are struggling with if you just give them the chance to tell you. I try to hear what my patients’ concerns are, both directly and indirectly related to medicine.”
Some advice that Dr. Steiner likes to remind patients is to go on more walks. “Walking with your loved ones and/or pets can turn the day around and will slowly improve your health physically and mentally.”
When Dr. Steiner isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two dogs and friends. “We love playing cards and board games. I also enjoy reading on my Kindle and working out,” she added.

Dr. Steiner is the only reason I will be returning to this clinic. She actually listened to me and seemed genuinely interested in what was going on.
