About Xuyen Ha, D.O.
Xuyen Ha, D.O., specializes in family medicine. “I chose family medicine because it provides the broadest area of knowledge and I’m able to help the greatest number of people from the beginning of birth to the end of life,” said Dr. Ha.
Dr. Ha began to study medicine after wrapping up his military career that lasted nearly 10 years with the air force. “I believe that God called on me to serve others,” he said. This mission guided him to join as the number of troops in the middle east surged in 2007. Dr. Ha feels the calling has led him to continue his service as a physician with hopes to be able to train and teach the next generation of doctors.
Dr. Ha says that when working with patients, he emphasizes the importance of shared decision making. “Not all treatments, exercise regimens or diets is going to work for each individual patient,” he said. His goal is to work with patients, to work as a team to come to an agreement and set achievable health goals.
When Dr. Ha is not working at the clinic, he can be found gardening or tending to his fruit trees. One day, he hopes to take his calling and skills of serving others to countries and people who need the assistance.
