About Suma Thomas, APRN-CNP

Suma Thomas, APRN-CNP, specializes in acute cancer care in the hepatobiliary and surgical oncology unit at Utica Park Clinic. The team provides treatment for diseases of the digestive tract including the esophagus, stomach, liver, bile ducts, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine and peritoneum.

Suma has been working in health care since 1992. She knew at the early age of 7 that she wanted to be a nurse and help others.

Now, after years of experience working in the intensive care unit (ICU) and being a hospitalist at Hillcrest Medical Center, her focus is helping patients like you feel empowered with healthy education and prevention methods.

“My care philosophy is to treat every patient with compassion and a smile,” said Suma. “A smile can go a long way.”

When not working at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being involved in church activities, participating in missions and traveling.
