About Bronwyn L. Howard, APRN-CNP

Bronwyn L. Howard, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine. “I have had the opportunity to work in rural health care for over 30 years and love the unique aspects of caring for the entire family,” she said.

Bronwyn has been in the health care field since she was 13 years old, starting out as a volunteer in a small hospital in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. “I progressed to a nurse aide while in high school. I then had the opportunity to work at Tahlequah City Hospital in the emergency room as a clerk and ambulance dispatcher while in college. These experiences lead me to start nursing school,” she said.

Now, after years of experience, Bronwyn enjoys getting to know each of her patients by simply having meaningful conversations. She wants patients to know how important it is to be involved and educated in their health care journey, which is why she values building relationships.

Bronwyn continues to keep up with the latest research and continuing education opportunities to provide the most up-to-date care for her patients.

When not working at the clinic, Bronwyn enjoys spending time with family, traveling and caring for her small farm of cows and chickens.

Bronwyn says, “Something patients may not expect when coming in for a visit or appointment is that I bring my chihuahua, Bray, to the clinic. People love her and she has a calming effect.”
