Dr. Valentine said, “I chose to go into rural health care after seeing what a positive impact my friend who was a rural family physician had on his patients and the community.”
Dr. Valentine was inspired to become a primary care physician by the desire to help people understand how to optimize their health span and what tools modern health care has to help them in this goal.
When asked about what patients may not expect when they come in for a visit, Dr. Valentine said patients may not expect to get a prescription for exercise. He likes to remind patients that exercise is one of the best forms of medicine for one’s health.
When Dr. Valentine isn’t working, he enjoys fishing, raising goats, skiing and rebuilding tractors.
