Alexander Hajduczok, M.D.
Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology
About Alexander Hajduczok, M.D.
Alexander Hajduczok, M.D., specializes in advanced heart failure medicine at Oklahoma Heart Institute on the campus of Hillcrest Medical Center. His professional areas of interest include advanced heart failure/transplant cardiology, hemodynamics, remote monitoring, exercise physiology, cardiogenic shock, device therapies and clinical trials.
Dr. Hajduczok decided to specialize in heart failure because it quickly became his favorite. He said, “It is the perfect blend of inpatient and outpatient, acute and chronic disease, procedures such as RHCs and exercise testing, along with imaging, and a rapidly evolving landscape of devices and innovation.”
Dr. Hajduczok’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine came from his joy in helping others. “It’s an honor to be able to help people when they need you most,” he said. “We, as physicians, are very lucky to be able to do what we do. I can’t think of anything more rewarding than relationships with patients and their families and truly making a difference in their lives.”
Dr. Hajduczok’s patience and understanding for each person provide him with the opportunity to build honest relationships with his patients. He recognizes that care goes beyond just treating the disease, but the person as a whole. “Everyone connects in a different way. Some people, like myself, love sports. Others like different things, like movies, books, adventures, etc. The beauty of medicine is to find out where that connection exists,” he said.
Dr. Hajduczok’s go-to advice he likes to remind patients is, “Do your best and the rest will work itself out.”
When Dr. Hajduczok isn’t working, he enjoys CrossFit, hiking, skiing, watching movies and sports, mainly hockey and football. He also welcomes all of the latest updates on his favorite team, the Buffalo Bills.
