About William Dudney, M.D.

William P. Dudney II, M.D., is a family medicine physician at Utica Park Clinic (UPC). His professional areas of interest include preventive care, obesity medicine and sports medicine.

“I went into family medicine because I love the variety and breadth that it presents, as well as the ability to establish and cultivate longitudinal relationships with patients,” said Dr. Dudney.

Dr. Dudney’s inspiration to pursue a career in medicine came from those closest to him in his personal life. He said, “I grew up with family in the medical field, and I saw how much they loved their profession and the fulfillment they got in caring for patients. I was always science-minded, and when I got to experience the blend of interesting medical knowledge with providing for people as patients, I knew that was what I wanted in a career.”

As Dr. Dudney’s practice continues to evolve, so do his relationships with his patients. He makes it a priority to continue building connections with each person so they feel comfortable during their visits. He said, “I enjoy getting to know patients on a personal level: learning about their interests, family’s upbringing, background, etc.”

Dr. Dudney’s reminder to those who come in for an appointment is, “Don’t be afraid to ask questions. My hope is that patients leave each visit with all questions answered and confidence in the plan of care.”

When Dr. Dudney isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, catching up with family, friends and their church community. He also likes to watch and play sports, be outside and read.
