About Kyle Schauf, M.D.

Kyle Schauf, M.D., FAAFP, specializes in family medicine at Utica Park Clinic. His professional areas of interest include diabetes, hypertension, lipid management, heart disease, skin procedures and preventive medicine.

Since he was young, Dr. Schauf said he has always had a love for science, and a curiosity about how and why things work the way they do. He said, “Medicine has allowed me to pursue both of those interests, in an especially meaningful way by helping people improve their health.”

Growing up in a small town and experiencing the charm and community it provides is one of the reasons that drove Dr. Schauf to be a family medicine physician in Catoosa. He said, “I grew up in a small town and until I was older, the family medicine physicians were the doctors that handled nearly all of my family’s health care needs. I admired their ability to diagnose and treat a broad range of diseases and being able to get to know patients a bit more deeply than other specialties.”

His relationship with his patients is one he values dearly and is one he understands is a journey. He said, “I always like to remind my patients that health is a marathon and not a sprint. We will all have stops and starts along the way, but as long as we are working toward our goal of better health, we are on the right track.”

Outside of work, Dr. Schauf enjoys watching his kids play sports and perform in dance and theatre. He adds, “I enjoy cooking, especially barbecue, which I do competitively. My family and I enjoy movies, board games, video games and cheering for FC Tulsa!”
