About Kassidy Hamilton, PA-C

Kassidy Hamilton, PA-C, specializes in general surgery at Utica Park Clinic on the campus of Hillcrest Hospital South.

Kassidy chose to specialize in general surgery because it allows her to interact with patients in two unique ways. She said, “I chose general surgery as my specialty focus because it combines clinical evaluation and direct intervention, with significant improvement in patient quality of life.”

Kassidy understands that surgery can bring a sense of nervousness, which is why she puts effort into building relationships with her patients to provide comfort while providing care. “I like to have relatable, shared conversations with my patients to build trust and rapport, so they know I have their best interest at heart. It is so important for patients to know their provider is on their side, and make sure they have the most information to make the best decisions for their own health,” she said.

Her inspiration to pursue a career in medicine came largely from her parents. She said, “I am the first in my family to go into the medical field, but I always had an interest, even as a young child. I have always loved puzzles and solving problems, and that is a huge part of medicine and the human body.”

Kassidy’s favorite advice to pass along to patients is, “Treat your body well, listen to it and always advocate for yourself.”

When Kassidy isn’t working, she can be found enjoying time with her husband and two daughters, enjoying the outdoors, playing sports, traveling, going to concerts and playing with her dogs.
