Yasser Khorchid, M.D., specializes in interventional neurology at Utica Park Clinic. His professional areas of interest include ischemic stroke, intracranial hemorrhage, brain aneurysms and vascular malformations.
Dr. Khorchid’s love for science and desire to continually learn about the human body is what inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. His interests continued to grow and eventually landed him in his practice of neurology. He said, “I was fascinated by neuroanatomy. Taking care of patients with neurological emergencies and improving their clinical outcomes is extremely rewarding.”
Dr. Khorchid understands how complex a situation can be and values the trust and relationship built with his patients. He said, “I care about patients as I care about my family and loved ones. I believe in that no one can make better decisions for patients more than they can do. My job is to explain the situation and all the possible options to patients and make sure they have solid understanding in order to make the right decisions regarding their health care.”
He likes to remind patients that, “Being healthy is invaluable. Take good care of yourself. If something went wrong we will do our best to achieve the best possible outcome.”
Outside of work, Dr. Khorchid enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, going on walks on trails and other outdoor activities.
