About Melissa Gingerich, APRN-CNP

Melissa Gingerich, APRN-CNP, specializes in family medicine. “I have always enjoyed taking care of people of all ages. I knew I wanted a career that had a variety of opportunities to grow and learn throughout the years,” she said.

After serving nearly 10 years as a nurse in the ICU and ER, Melissa has transitioned to primary care where she hopes to make an impact in the lives of others and to prevent them from visiting an emergency room. “Going into family medicine has opened my eyes to what my patients are having to deal with before coming into the hospital,” she said.

Now, as she works in family medicine, she hopes to enhance patient communication and to bridge the gap for those in underserved communities. “It was an easy decision to come to outpatient to try to make a small impact for these patients needing access to primary care,” she said.

Melissa encourages all patients to, “Never stop learning and advocating for your health and what you need.”

Outside of working at the clinic, Melissa likes to spend time with her husband, daughters and friends. She also enjoys cooking, baking and being involved in serving the Claremore community.
