About Irene Moy, D.O.

Irene Whitney Moy, D.O., specializes in internal medicine in Claremore.

Dr. Moy was motivated to go into the field of medicine after witnessing the health disparities while growing up in rural Oklahoma. “I felt that I could make the largest impact on the health of our state by returning to rural Oklahoma as a health care provider,” she said.

After completing medical school, Dr. Moy learned she enjoyed caring for people with all kinds of different medical conditions. “I chose internal medicine specifically because I wanted to have a broad and diverse background to provide well-rounded care for my patients,” she said. “Medicine is constantly changing and evolving, providing me with a challenging and rewarding lifestyle with endless opportunities for growth and learning.”

When it comes to caring for patients, Dr. Moy’s likes to focus on the overall goal and approach it with a team-like mindset with shared decision making. “I like to set long-term goals with my patients and guide them through each small step that will provide them with the best long-term health possible,” said Dr. Moy.

Outside of working at the clinic, Dr. Moy likes to hike, travel to national parks, golf and work out.
